Devils Summit – What To Expect

The Stampede is this weekend. Beers, announcements and absolute tomfoolery.

The coach has arrived and it seems that there is a frivolous focus with regards to what to ride. Like Vegas, what happens in Calgary, should also stay there. What shouldn’t be, is the roster announcements and new player signings that are due to be unveiled, in some inebriated fashion. Quintessentially Welsh…

*Following my recent article in Chasing The Puck (Next Moves for Cardiff Devils), there has been some solid confirmations regarding player signing* 

From Joey Martin, the departure of Jake Coughler, adding a top Import Forward (Jamie Arniel), Mark Richardson, Sam Duggan, Josh Waller and Ben Bowns, as well as Riley Brandt, 7 of the 12 have been confirmed thus far, with widespread rumours of Evan Mosey, also quoted. 

During the offseason, 11 have been announced, even with fan favourite Cole Sanford and a pre-scouted forward in Ryan Barrow (One to Watch), a top 4 D in River Rymsha and a stunning 12th season for a through and through Devil, Josh Batch. There are plenty of signing announcements left. 

So here are some additional predictions, that we could see or even expect to be announced during the Summit, which would be posted by the boisterous ownership group at some point this weekend (we hope);
